how could you look at the face of a child
and not feel the love of god
a gift sent from heaven my little girl
when she looks at me

she hasn't said a word
but i know what she means
when she laughs when she smiles
with that look in her eyes

as she grows up i'll teach her the truth
of her father in heaven
and teach her to pray so that he'll say
when she looks to him
